1) Describe the general perspective of the course as a subject in the college and its significance in the society

The general perspective of the course is to give the students an idea of the issues regarding social justice. It is to open their eyes and the same time to have them sensitive enough to react on such issue.  Through our course, Theology 5, students will be able to differentiate the goodness of having to do about something that relates every one’s cooperation and concerns. With Kasanib’s intervention, people will be able to realize that they are not being abandoned in time of their needs.
As a Christian, the course teaches the students the value of justice and the great reasons why it should be practiced. Everything in the world is not without justice, so as man that cannot live in harmony without it. We are grateful for having this one gift that only God can give.
Theology 5 requires proper practice and exposure to truly feel the need to act and the need to learn. It is with exposure on the field about issues regarding social justice that we can really know the meaning of it. By understanding every aspect, from the basic to the most relevant ideology with the help of the teaching of the church, We students will have the responsibility to serve justice as what the real meaning of Justice is about.

2) Introduce your chosen specific social justice issue. Sate the reason why the group chosen this issue

Our chosen topic is about:
• Helping the needy in giving them the means to live and comfort
• Sexual, gender abuse
• Public service, drug rehab, funeral services, consultation and more..

Our group chose these topics to give us guidelines on what we should look for while we are conducting our study. Issues such as these are unbecomingly common yet, remains unresolved for the most part.
Helping the poor by giving them what they need is all about reaching out with them to give them hope, happiness, and most importantly the love of our God. His teachings should not fall on deaf ears and should never left unfelt and that is the reason why organizations like Kasanib is supporting anyone in their authority to become aware of the situation everyone is in and what they should do. For example, the use of illegal drugs should not be tolerated, but for the users to realize the bad things they have done and what they are doing that time, they will find ways offer a drug detoxification. It is sort of directing the people to the path that is secured and more importantly, the path to living the life God wanted us to have.
Harassment is another act of injustice. By exploiting one’s innocence as for the children who are victims of thus act is nonetheless, an injustice. Everyone should be respected as to what they are and not using them for their good. This is a sin and a major one too. We decided to look into this while we are conducting the study to understand the reasons behind it and the steps to give the victim a peace of mind so justice will be served the right way.
