What do you think will happen if this large amount of money will be given to the terrorist group Abu Sayyaf in Sulu? Of course it will not be used for peace and restoration. It “may” be used for powering up their group and investing weaponry to battle with the Armed Forces of the Philippines. But who knows, all we know is that it will not be used for a greater cause.

Ces Drilon, well known news anchorwoman of ABS-CBN and her two companions, Jimmy and A Professor, are still held captive by the Abbu Sayyaf group to date. Their families are given until todays afternoon to comply with the ransom they are asking for. But Still the government, ABS-CBN and even the authorities are not bound to comply with the negotiation about the 15-M ransom. Still, no one can stop the families of the captives to give the money or else, their life will be in danger.

Some still hope for better outcome rather than another war between the military and the Abu Sayyaf group knowing the fact that Ces Drilon is a high profile personality. We may hope that they will not be harmed if ever the money was not given to the terrorist. Because she is an important person, The terrorists may have a second thought upon harming Drilon’s life for it may cause another war, as I have said earlier.

And for us waiting at home for the news, we might as well give a little time to pray for the captives’ safety and release.
