The Rock Thing

I wonder where my necklace selection went? When I were in my early teen years, I have all sorts of bead necklaces from different tourist spots around the Philippines. During those times I enjoy projecting as a rock star wannabe, native necklaces and wrist bands are considered a “thing” back then. I mean, when you are in a metal band during early 90’s, there were lots of iconic pieces going around and it seems pretty normal that almost every rock music enthusiasts are into them. Its a statement, and a rebellious one.

Today, I don’t’ wear them and I don’t even have one even though I thought I still have them placed on some secluded part of my storage. As I grow up, that specific statement faded away from my lifestyle. I wear simple jeans and shirt, with a wrist watch and a very thin silver necklace from my new necklace selection. This must be the grown-up style eh? Anyway, I still play rock music even though the expressive statement is gone, once you are into that, that simple rocking love to music will never fade.

Productivity Gone

Ever since our sembreak started months ago, all I did was sit in front of my desktop for a couple of hours, smoke some, drink coffee and leave the house to enjoy a drink with my friends. After that, I go home so late that I also sleep late then wake up past the afternoon. I am not being productive because the cycle is all the same. I’ve been surfing the net long enough but ever since that day came, I became lazy to browse useful stuffs which I can share using this blog or help other by my reviews and insights on certain things, I no longer do that. It’s December already and I came to realize what’s the problem, I was too busy with things that are not important and I became too occupied by those things, I know, it’s so undisciplined for a guy like me with lots of responsibilities. I lost track of my blogging, updating, and writing quality posts, I guess I’m just too tired getting up with a hangover with what happens every other night on my head.

Writing this means that I came to realize that I need to be back on track once again. I’m done with my lazy days and now I have the complete urge to gain back my productivity and by doing that, all those useful stuffs that I left a couple of months ago will surely be on my system again. I don’t want that bum life anymore so I’ll do everything to keep myself on track and be more disciplined in the way I live. Now that I have thought of that, I think I did something more productive than what I thought.. it’s to bring back my old band Burn-Off Flare back together and revive our lost songs, now that’s something else.

Anyway, I have here a link that directs to my band’s purevolume account. I hope that you guys could spare a time to listen to it and please, don’t hesitate to make a critique about our songs (though sometimes it would :D) and help us improve it.

Burn Off Flare is Back

My former band came into conclusion that we need to continue what we have started years back. Now that we are all living our lives with passion to music even more, we have decided to revive our former glory as Burn-Off Flare.

Before, we have conflicts with our schedules, it is the same as today but our dedication is more focused. I hope that this conquest will lead to something good because I believe that life is harder for us without music and we need to persevere if we need to succeed. So if anything happens, may it be that we hit the gold or not our band will continue to play and make great compositions regarding our daily lives.

Burn Off Flare is about facing the challenges of life, we live our lives individually and we have different outlook and views on certain things. But that does not matter because as much as possible we strive to make sense on things that matter to us. We make songs out of things we experience and our genre is not easy to explain but anyhow, what we create is music and that is final. Now let me introduce Burn Off Flare’s recent member lineup.

Vocals: Peter Dioneo…

LeadGuitar: JV ROBLES….

RhythmGuitar: VJ Villaran…..

Bass: Jeric Valeza….

Drums: Karsten Elima.

I recorded our first practice inside a studio but too bad that we were not complete. Our bassist was not present that time but I hope this will sound good even if it lacks the jazzy tunes.

I hope you like it, and please leave a comment its alright with you. Thanks and wish us luck. There are lots of good bands out there especially in the Philippines and we want to be one of them. This will come, I just know.

Rock Solid Cool!

You know what i want this summer? I want rock tumblers! Its cool and its useful.I am beginning to think that I can polish every rock or maybe a stone that I pass by on the streets. I can be a rock sculture with just a simple hammering and then use the tumbler to make it fine. How about trying it for a change? its way cooler for us to explore the good things around us, especially this tumbler.
