Atlast, Christmas has ended!

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

Whew! I grew tired of 2008’s Christmas vacation. It is because Ive spent so much money on buying gifts and vices. Now it is time for me to save what I should save, my money and my soon to be career that I don’t know yet. Anyway, since the vacation has ended and holidays seems holidays are not yet around, what I should be doing now is concentrate on the upcoming midterm examinations. I think I need to get my grades up again because during the last half of this semester, that was last year, I had many absences and I need to catch up and I intend to do it NOW! or tomorrow…or the next day but not next week. Ha-ha! I need a good foundation and it should be the strongest one like from the steel buildings.

San Beda Red Lions: NCAA 3Peat Champion @ 84

Monday, October 6th, 2008

Its been a very tough 84th season for my alma matter, San Beda College. Though its is much harder for the players this time, they still managed to overcome the difficulties and still proved to be the best in Men’s College Basketball last September 29 2008 of the 84th season. It reminded me of our last lesson about debt consolidation, no matter how much you borrow, i mean the strength and the guidance, with the help of everyone around you, everything will be jest fine. If I would compare the 82nd season championship from the 84th, I would gladly say that this season is the next big thing to happen in San Beda. Imagine the blood lust those lions are into while on the game, they would defend their Turk, their pride and would bet their best just to win the game against Jose RIzal University who finally came into the finals after a long wait.

I wonder how those Hopias, which they love to call themselves felt after the lost. I know it is hard for them, so close but the Red Lions took it away from them before they come into contact. It must be really really depressing. Well that was this game is all about, give your best and decide to win, good game though. One thing that really matter is that SBC won Three straight seasons and still defended it successfully. I cannot imagine the long months of training for this. I envy my colleagues who went into the victory party that same night, but good thing for me I managed to evade another heartbreaking credit card debt which I try to avoid as much as possible.

The sad part is that two best players of the team will graduate this coming March, can the Lions still roar without them? Sam Ekwe will surely be missed by the supporters and the whole Bedan Community. But as far as the team would go, they now have another great talent who will play in the next season and that will remain a surprise until that day, of course my college know all about it. Well good luck to them and for the meantime I will deal with my debt management program and enhance my knowledge to deal with my own. Animo San Beda!
